MIBR won six rounds in a row after 3:9, but Legacy's T side won both key economy tests: the force buys in rounds 19 and 24 held against full buys. Legacy's lead came from the CT half, where MIBR's T side secured only one opening, while 17 deaths in Outside and Lobby went completely untraded.

What decided the map
MIBR's T side lost players on the outside perimeter and in Lobby without an opportunity to quickly restore equal numbers.
On T, MIBR had 10 deaths in Outside and 7 in Lobby; the trade rate in both areas was 0%. Their overall trade rate fell to 10% against the team's 19% baseline, and MIBR won the opening duel in only 1 of 12 rounds.
R10On CT, MIBR used a significant part of their utility stock in the first 20 seconds of almost every round, regularly targeting Silo and Trophy.
48 of 70 throws came in the first 20 seconds; Silo and Trophy received utility in 10 of 12 rounds each. They had played this way before: their standard CT packages started at 0:07 and included Silo, Squeaky and Trophy, while the two most common variants each appeared in 5 rounds in the historical sample.
R22R24All four of Legacy's T rounds came in two stretches, with the decisive hits coming from force buys against MIBR's full buys.
Legacy won only rounds 19–21 and 24 on T; in rounds 19 and 24, they had a force buy against a full buy. The first started a three-round winning streak after 9:9, and the second closed the map at 12:11.

What they did differently
- MIBR on attack: rounds R3, R6, R11 match none of their own 77 rounds on this map from the last 8 matches — 0.74, 0.47, 0.69 against their usual 0.92 — biggest change: routes out of spawn, opening utility, zones taken early · won 1 of 3
- Legacy CT — the AWP was on try, usually saadzin
- Legacy — During the 12-round CT half, Legacy's AWP role shifted to try, whereas it had previously belonged to saadzin — 12 of 46 rounds in the historical sample, most often in Garage and Hell. The change gave Legacy a different outside anchor: in round 10, try found the opening with the AWP from Garage and then covered Outside from Heaven, supporting the 9:3 half.

How to use this
Against Legacy
- Against Legacy's CT side, block dumau's early line through Heaven and A Site with a flash before exiting Hut: he secured 4 openings with a median timecode of 0:14.
- On CT, reinforce Lobby with a second player or a crossfire from Heaven: Legacy lost 10 players there on T, and only 10% of those deaths were traded.
- Keep an HE grenade or molotov for renewed pressure on Squeaky after the opening utility: Legacy died there 5 times on T, and none of those deaths were traded.
Against MIBR
- Against their T side, set up a Garage–Heaven crossfire on Outside and leave a player for Lobby contact: MIBR's 17 deaths across those two areas produced 0 trades.
- Against their CT half, wait out the first 20 seconds and prepare a second hit after the utility fades: MIBR used 48 of 70 throws in this phase and targeted Silo and Trophy in 10 of 12 rounds.
- Clear Mini with two consecutive flashes in the 0:12–0:33 interval: LNZ and insani secured 5 of MIBR's 7 CT openings, while Mini was the location of 3 of those 7 opening kills.
How it looked
- R10
Outside without a second contact
MIBR ran a familiar outside framework: smokes in Mini at 0:10 and Garage at 0:12, followed by a molotov in Garage at 0:13. This matched their previous approach on Nuke, where the 1 A + 4 Out setup appeared in 15 of 64 T rounds and LNZ was Outside in 35 of 64. try killed venomzera in Silo from Garage at 0:39, then continued holding the area from Heaven; the deaths of venomzera, nqz and insani went untraded. MIBR kept players outside but did not create the next contact close to the first, so the round ended on time.

Force buy broke the upper defense
Legacy opened the round with smokes in A Site at 0:04 and Mini at 0:05, adding an HE grenade in Squeaky at 0:08 and a molotov in Hut at 0:15. This opening utility forced MIBR's full buy to account for Lobby, Roof and the exit toward A Site at the same time. dumau secured the opening from Lobby, and try then restored equal numbers for Legacy twice with trades from Roof and Lobby, preventing the defense from consolidating its advantage around Heaven and Catwalk. The force buy became the first round of the 19–21 streak and immediately prevented MIBR from extending the comeback after 9:9.
After this opening (200 similar rounds on the map on a full buy): the hit goes A in 78% against the map's usual 51%.

Familiar package kept MIBR on the map
MIBR again started with their standard package: a molotov in Silo at 0:07, a molotov and then a smoke in Squeaky at 0:09 and 0:15, and a smoke in Trophy at 0:09. Legacy responded with an outside smoke chain in Mini and Garage, but nqz waited for contact on Catwalk and did not open the round until 1:05. After a late rotation through Hell and Heaven, arT still reached the plant on A Site, but remained exposed to nqz from Lobby, while try was exposed from Hut on Rafters. MIBR recovered the round from a peak of 97% for the T side and extended the map.
After this opening (200 similar rounds on the map on a full buy): first contact at 25.8s against the usual 18.4s.
Steps - R24
Same opening, different response from Legacy
MIBR's opening package almost repeated round 22: a molotov in Silo at 0:07, utility in Squeaky at 0:09 and a smoke in Trophy at 0:10. This time, Legacy pressured Mini and A Site simultaneously: arT found the opening from Outside against insani in Mini, while latto created a second contact from Lobby against LNZ on A Site. MIBR recovered part of the deficit around A Site, but n1ssim kept pressure on the upper level with the Tec9 and cleared nqz's position in Heaven and brnz4n's position in Rafters. The second force buy against a full buy became the map-closing round.
After this opening (187 similar rounds on the map on a force buy): the hit goes A in 76% against the map's usual 48%; the bomb goes down in 26% of rounds against 50%.

Bottom line
Legacy won Nuke through the lead built on their CT half and two precise economic hits after the 9:3 advantage disappeared. MIBR confirmed that their CT playbook worked and nearly completed the comeback, but their T setup left too many deaths in Outside and Lobby unanswered, while their full buy failed twice against Legacy's force buys.

- Every number is collected from the demo itself, automatically. The editor only proofreads the finished text.
- “Baseline” means averages across the platform's corpus — hundreds of thousands of rounds from official matches. Round win probabilities come from that corpus, not from model guesses.
- Only official matches with open HLTV demos are published. Client demos and strategies are never published and never used in anyone else's report.
